I recently got a KB-78 pos keyboard, and i need to reprogram the bindings. The provided software doesnt work on Linux wine nor WinXP on virtual box, and i dont have winXP/98 machine to program the board.
Do you know ANY way to rebing the keys?
Thakns in advance,

By reprogram you mean remap the keys? If not please ignore what I've written below.
I use xmodmap, personally. Google should have some good tutorials for you.
Alternativly inidividual DEs and WindowManagers will have their own built in way to remap keys as well, but xmodmap will follow you between DEs.

I was thinking about xmodmap, but the keyboard has chars encoded to different keys. I need to reprogram the eprom in the device and give it new mapping.
ie.
the key labeled "cash" sends '+' signal to the pc. I need to change it that it sends 'enter' (for example)
