I think there is a model F AT for ~$50 (US), AEKII and others.
-
Ever since webwit got that IBM 3278 terminal keyboard from them I've been looking over there inventory. They have some interesting stuff.
-
There's no AT Model F there, just an XT one that's mismarked as an AT one, a common mistake. Also, a clone that probably uses Alps switches.
I once got a 5.25" drive from that crowd. Some of their stuff is overpriced, but they seem to accept reasonable offers. And they do have an eBay store btw.
-
which is the model F? I see the BTC-5060 which is an awful yellow (can't find any info on it, despite looking a lot like a Model F) and some terminal Model Fs for $50 to $150.
-
Here's the XT one. (http://www.recycledgoods.com/10423_IBM_1503206_5150/83%20Key%20Keyboard%20AT%205150.html) As I pointed out, there's no AT one.

ok dont know why i didnt see you post... maybe i started it while i was browsing and submitted it after

Ridiculously priced as well.
They must have caught a glimpse of the prices on a genuine model F AT and thought they could get the same for this fella. Maybe someone should subtly ask them if it works on a modern PC when it is claimed to be an AT.
-
Thought I saw one before. Oh well. Probably one of those terminal keyboards. It had 84 keys.
-
recycled goods has always been overpriced...their computer prices are madness

And grossly overpriced.
I bought my first 84-key PC AT keyboard from Recycled Goods for $125 which was a pretty good price considering the condition. However, I had to drive up to Ventura (45 minute drive) and haggle to get the price down.
The PC/XT Model F's can be had on ebay for as little as $20 because they are worthless without a converter.
-
The place does seem to have quite a few XT->AT converters, though.
-
how much are the good converters? an AT model F is up there.
-
There's no AT Model F there, read my post up top. It's an XT Model F that's been mis-marked.

The BTC is an AT/XT switchable keyboard which uses the old IBM AT layout. I heard it automatically detects whether or not your computer is AT or XT.
-
But of course is nowhere near as interesting as the AT Model F, because of the distinct lack of capactive BS.

To which place are you referring? Recycyled Goods?

Recycled Goods is the same company which had an ebay listing for a NIB Northgate Omnikey Ultra for $400 lol. The highest bid of $275 was rejected.
-
Even Northgate-keyboard-repair.com doesn't charge that much, and they are quite proud of their offerings. Hell, I bought my Evolution for $87, NIB (from C-Techsys.com; I think they are sold out, though).

Ever read the seller's replies to the negative feedback on their ebay store? He strikes me as something of an *******...
