Title: make your fukkas even smoother

So I managed to make my fukkas even smoother and even quieter. They're just brilliant, I love it.

I put a spot of grease where the sliders make contact with the click leaf's prongs. See pic below.

Its like butter. Seriously. Made a fantastic typing experience even better.

Basically it "smoothed out" the downstroke on the already quite smooth fukkas. The main resistance on the clicky fukka is the click leaf's prongs when you begin your downstroke. They give just a little and then slide off the slider (causing the hammer to strike the casing, making the click noise).

When you grese that spot, basically the leaf slides off the hammer just slightly quicker and smoother. The click is also just slightly reduced presumably cuz its not pulled down as much before snapping back (because of the grease). The effect is very subtle - there is still a click and there is still the resistance of the prongs. The point is, they're smoothed out a touch. Its noticeable without messing with the overall resistance and feel of the key. For instance I did the rip test and key resistance was 60g before and it was 60g after the tweak.

The result is a key that flies and feels smooth and substantial like no other switch except the bs. I often compare the fukka to bs both in terms of satisfaction but also in terms of feel. The fukka is a lighter bs (by about 5g) which actuates slightly earlier on the downstroke, but otherwise they're quite similar for medium-to-heavy switches which are very satisfying to type on.

Quick go buy something.... Actually as much as you like Alps you should get a SIIG or one of those Filco SIIG look a likes. You need a mini Alps board.
