Has anyone ever done a keyboard porn face off between Realforce, Novatouch, Noppoo and Kludge?
I recently got interested in this topic. I notice that the Royal Klutz’s price is pretty average compared to other keyboards. It sounds as though this board can supply the parts for a custom build.
How similar are the parts? Are they interchangeable? Some of you people have been buying Topres and combining them to get the weightings that you like. Would it be possible to take parts from the Klutzboard? (My deliberate name; I like Klutz more than Kludge). Would like some people to compare the quality too.
I am also wondering what are the obstacles to people who want to do a split layout Topre.
If we get cup rubbers, sliders and springs from other boards, the main obstacle should be the electro capacitative PCB right? Wondering why no one has ever attempted a split layout Topre.

I think it's mainly that the PCB is very difficult to do.

Novatouch is the winner!

It can't be that difficult if the Kultzboard can be so cheap. But I don't understand the logic of that PCB at all. An electrically illiterate person like me can follow the copper traces on a standard PCB and understand the meaning of solder, but these round locations with no contacts stymie my efforts to understand them.

I talked to Dork about it at the meet. I don't completely understand the mechanism for it for the PCB but the voltage readers (is that right?) Are built into the PCB. He told me chopping one up would be extremely difficult.
