Somehow it's just missing the well known 1800 form and looks more like a modified Lightsaver. I think its mostly the lack of space between f-row and number row. But oh well, it's always good to have more options in this layout. :))

Got excited and then realized not full 1800 layout. Pretty much Lightsaver with dedicated arrow cluster. BUT I still really like it <3

Which colour combo do you guys like the best?

I'm thinking the black top/silver bottom looks great, but do any of you prefer an 100% black or 100% silver colour scheme instead?

I would so love to buy this instead of a Lightsaver since that seems to be taking a million years.

Wow!! This looks really nice
The 1800 layout was too bulky looking for my taste due to the excessive space between the number row and F-row, and the lightsaver was too simplistic looking due to it not having a top half, this is literally the best of both worlds for me  :)
I really hope someone can run this buy for GH!!

When you want assembly options you need to discuss it with LZ via email as he said. I have had boards assembled by him in a past group buy but I don't know if it is routinely offered or not.

Just spent about five hours soldering all the SMD components (I could swear half of that time was spent flipping the parts the right way up). Anyway, tried plugging it up with the PC, and noticed that only RGB1 to RGB6 (the RGB LEDs) stayed lit up, while the others only flashed very briefly. Anyone else seeing this? Not sure if it's actually a problem - the connection to the other LEDs are there, since they flashed, but I'm still a bit puzzled. And on that note, is there documentation for this board somewhere?

Only way would to get one would be to buy one from someone in the group buy in the classifieds. However there are only 14 people who participated so the chances might be slim..

They are, I think size, 2012. The values should be different since the LEDs have different colours, but the ones LZ provided are all 821s (820 Ohm).

I just wanna gauge when mine would come because I'm leaving town for a couple days and I kinda want to bring the parts along to have something to busy myself with  :D

This going to sound really noobish, but can someone link the resistors(?) necessary for the Capslock, ScrollLock, NumLock LEDS please?

They are, I think size, 2012. The values should be different since the LEDs have different colours, but the ones LZ provided are all 821s (820 Ohm).

Thank you, but I can't seem to find resistors of that size, could you please link a shop? Also, would these be good as the diodes? http://ca.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=1N4148TRvirtualkey61370000virtualkey78-1N4148

If someone would just post a build-log with the components and location of said components that would be amazing.

There are no holes for through hole diodes. So if you are putting together the lz cp pcb those wouldn't work. Maybe  you can diy something but I would stick to your standard t4 diodes. I thought every kit came with a set of everything...

I had a look at the electronics today and soldered switch resistors and diodes. A first test of the matrix revealed that not all keys are working for me. Most keys of the number pad do not signal. A closer look at this showed that Atmega pins PD5, PD6 and PD7 don't work. My soldering work looks ok so I assume its firmware related.

Can somebody confirm this?

i can confirm one thing on my end. i did a electrical test and every key registered. the only keys that i cant confirm work yet is the ketc1. thats beacuse i didnt run through an indepth test. i just shorted everything and the entire board seems to be functioning as intended.

this might be a silly question... but have you checked your diode orientation? or maybe if you thinking the controller isnt making contact try to reflow the connections with fresh solder? i really hope you didnt get a dud controller, that would suck immensely!

all i can say with the info you gave.

edit.

does anyone have the layout chart for the space row? i saw it on the lz page, and now it seems like it was taken down.

You should get a email soon saying it's shipped. From past exp Order ready means that all your ordered parts there boxed but not shipped.

It is programmed via JigON (http://kbdlab.co.kr/index.php?document_srl=2702787&mid=board_sw). It is super easy. Second only to GON's Nerdy GUI.

Hmm, not sure if I'm doing something wrong here. Based on Google translation of the page I have flashed the keyboard with loadfw.bat, but I can only get JigOn to connect with the keyboard some of the times. The rest of the time the program crashes with the message "KeyboardDef has stopped working". It read like I'm suppose to connect the keyboard with Esc pressed, but that doesn't seem to help. Am I missing something really obvious?

Without JigOn I can sometimes connect the keyboard and have it working, the rest of the times the RGB LEDs flashes rainbow colours, but the keyboard is otherwise non-functional.

Okay I'm not sure if this applies to your case, but I've got mine working by first disconnecting the keyboard, start JigOn, and then connect the keyboard. Doing it in this sequence seems to allow me to programme the keyboard. It seems that if I start JigOn with the board connected to the computer, the board will enter some where state where the custom settings are either lost or the board is non-functional. Have only tried a couple of times, but that seems to be the case. Hope this helps.

I would like to ask for some help with the LZ-CP, I soldered the diodes, the resistors and the RGB Leds, if I connect the board to my computer only the RGB Led 1 turns red and after sometime starts flashing red slowly. Most of the other leds flash briefly as I plug in the USB cable. How do I check to see if all the RGB Leds function properly? I installed the JigOn software but I am not familiar with it and it seems as nothing changes if I use >Keyboard >Update >All from the menu.

In the pic you posted I would do a once over and reflow with rosin. Some joints don't look tight but it's hard to tell from the pic. I found that those leds are really easy to burn. So be careful of making your iron too hot.

1. How do I get the leds in the special row under de USB working for Numlock, Capslock and Scrollock? Only numlock is working at the moment.
2. My KETC1 KEY seems not to register, if I use my multimeter I can see / hear it makes contact all right.

For 1. Its probably in the software. Most toggle keys are and you just have to find the function that controls those behaviour.
For 2 and 3 I would check what frosty suggested, but also make sure to try a different switch and LEDs. Just to rule out the possibility of defective components.
