Title: Are there any key set (especially color schemes) similar to this?
Post by: Snarfangel on Wed, 06 May 2015, 17:12:18
I'm wondering if there is a key set that is similar to this, especially the cyan/medium blue/deep blue/yellow color scheme:

I don't really care for the font, and I would use the symbols for page up/page down/home/end on the number pad, but it was what http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/ offered. :) And this is from the ABS palette, but I would of course prefer PBT.

There is a Interest Check going on over at PMK with very similar color schemes. At 213 votes already it will be having a group buy at some point.

Both those are nice looking sets. Hmm, decisions, decisions. :)

Well Gravity is DSA which is the same height across all keys while Calm Depths is semi-contoured SA so the back of the number and F rows and the front of the bottom row keys are taller - not sure if you have a preference but it might help :)

Also,  Gravity will likely be available via PM,  but Calm Depths will probably have to be sourced via the Classified Section.  If you're impatient like me,  you may list a WTB for Calm Depths while waiting for Gravity.

Though suicidal_orange makes a good point regarding profiles.

I don't think you'll go wrong either way.

Gravity makes me sad because it's vaguely close to the sculpted SA set I want to submit but it's in nasty DSA like every other keyset nowadays. At least DSA saves me money. But this is what I want: http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/layouts/d79036a80a24d15124c2b9449a3f48b6

I like it.

Though you will start having purists argue about the backslash. I hope you are prepared. :D

Hah, already prepared, note there being two colors of backslash stuffed in there, as well as alpha color tilde. I'd be tempted to troll and have 1 be BO too if I were sufficiently evil, for maximum symmetry.

Do it!  This pseudo symmetry arguments where people fuss over the colour of \| while ignoring the discrepancy between 1 and backspace is laughable, as is the inevitably alpha-coloured ISO \| next to shift.  It makes no sense!
