Title: CMStorm Trigger repair
Post by: cycloptishred on Wed, 06 May 2015, 17:59:33
A few days ago my keyboard suddenly started giving scrambled inputs so I took it apart (using information I found on this website) and I found this corrosion on the PCB. (http://i.imgur.com/7N68xSv.jpg) You guys think it's fixable?

Wash with isopropyl alcohol, use an acid brush (or whatever they call these things). If you don't have one, then use a toothbrush WITH SOFT BRISTLES.

When the board is clean, we can see the traces better. Probably it is just the muck causing the keyboard to be shorted out.

Thanks for the reply! What exactly do you mean by "wash"? Any scrubbing involved?
