In box next to CM storm:

Now no one will want to use my desk if I'm not in the office:

Boring shot:

Stock keycaps:

So my second modern mech. Other one is TKL with browns.

I really enjoy the heavy switches. Going to try out a set of deep space caps on here soon.

Positives:
Very nice for the money.
Heavy
PBT keycaps

Negatives (as of today):
No media keys
Default Fn and Arrow key setup are a pain to use

So my negatives could be fixed with an alternative firmware and re-programming it. Overall i do really like it though!

Found the manual here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-Ho1rdXm1bDbWt5LUxxUVRMY1E/view

So I can reprogram the arrow keys, function key, etc.

So now only complaint will be lack of media control.

They're very similar, but I like the clear better. I'd have to try with same caps i think but the clear seem quieter to me as well as being heavier resistance. So maybe just not from bottoming out like i do with the browns.

I wonder if you'd be willing top make a shot of the PCB for SCIENCE!! you know ;) (I'm interested if these have holes for LEDs as the engineering samples did)

Thanks for the info about this...

By the way I am already dizzy trying to find information about this keycap set (posted pic here)...

Do you have any idea who/where these keycaps are for sale (copied from the space cadet)???

For me these caps looks very nice on Poker!

Thanks...

Vortex posted a comment on their facenuke page saying they will add media keys to the function layer in a FW update.

Clear is a slightly heavier brown, so it's up to you.

That's not quite right, actually. Clears and browns have different stems. A clear stem has a much larger tactile bump than a brown stem. The ergo clear is a clear stem with a lighter spring, approaching the same weight as a brown spring, however this feels much different from a stock brown. If you look at the stems side by side, you'll also be able to see the difference.

That said, it still is definitely personal preference between browns and clears. My preference is for stock clears, as I prefer heavier and more tactile switches.

@Alexdel that set was from 7bitts R4 (on DeskThority) group-buy a couple of years ago.

When he asked clear or brown I was assuming he meant stock switches. :D
IMO bigger tactile bump = heavier.

That's not the extent of it though. Clears have stronger strings than browns, and a different stem.

Most people use lighter/heavier to refer to the spring only; reds are lighter blacks, greens are heavier blues, etc. A black is heavier than a blue, but the blue is still more tactile.

Sorry if I wasn't very clear earlier.

Nice board.
I will have to wait about another week or two until I get my iso pok3r.
But loocking at your board helps me to wait for it.
BTW it when you look at pok3r posts all over the internet, it seams as 90% of them have mx clears. Is here anybody, who got some diffrent switches?

Yes, you can tell from the shot with caps pulled.
