So I encountered this problem, while doing a soldering job on the ps2avrU V0.2. The keyboard connects to the computer but every button is unusable.
I got this pcb from Zenuty a time ago, and unfortunately he is never online on skype anymore (rip). I tried searching around for answers and I came to the conclusion that the controller may be unflashed. I saw a similar thread on GH a while back, but there wasn't really an answer on that one. So if you got any experience in this, I would love to hear your input! :thumb:

i have a ps2avr, i initally thought that i could use the USB, but that was not the case, the keyboard only works when connected to the ps2. even though connnection is microusb. Have you tried ps2?

I have not, but it's supposed to fit in a LZ-GH :-X Thanks for the answer though!

Why would that make a difference? Or am i missing something?
Try a simple USB -> PS2 converter see if it works.

Well the port on the LZ-GH is optimized for a micro-usb and I'm doing this solder job for someone, so I don't know what he will think of that :/ Hopefully there is another way to do this, but I guess as a last resort I can try with ps2

you need ps2 on the part you connect to the computer, not at the connection from the LZ. Like on of these

and this

You could also try holding the u key for usb, the p key for ps2, while plugging it in. If someone set it to ps2 it well do what you described. Holding both makes the keyboard autoselect. This is all for ps2avru.

I bought a ps2avr board a while back and the seller gave me a usb dongle that made it work perfectly without the need for connecting to the Ps2 port.
However, I believe it acted as a converter of sorts

Bump on this matter, I need to get it to work with usb only since the buyer doesn't have a ps2 input on his computer :(
-
I'm pretty sure I have no picture of it.
All I know is that it was a tiny usb dongle that I put between the usb port and the cable (female to male usb dongle)

Didn't work unfortunately, it seems like I can't install drivers on the pcb at all...

Can the buyer just get a ps2 to USB converter?

Idk, would look pretty weird tho.

As a note, the ps2avr's I've used don't work with my standard ps/2 to usb converters (Soarer's and ID Innovations dongle). The little module that was sold with some ps2avr's are actually an active converter as well, I believe.
