I wish I had this when I was an avid PC gamer. I used to run 2 PCs, one for gaming and one for "other stuff."

weird... just reading about it now (Linked at xtremesystems).
I like it... but not enough to buy it. I suspect that early adopters will get some funky driver problems (It's DFI), but I would like to be pleasantly surprised.
I can see it being a hit with a large segment of my customers though. Gaming and "normal" systems, both in the same box? Hell yes, they will be all over that, but the price is a deal breaker for me.

Now, I didn't have a chance to really watch the video, so I am not too sure how it works, but if it eliminates the need for a KVM, that would be great.

Personally, I think it would be better just to have a case that can hold two motherboards, and get two motherboards: that way you don't have to worry about restarting one half of the board affecting the other half.

This is what the Good Lord invented the Beagleboard (http://beagleboard.org/) for...

That's pretty cool. I think you guys missed the part about it being one system lol.

Nice, but what if I blow my PSU?
What if my dog chews on the power cord?
Or what if my bling-bling video card overheats?
I wouldn't call this a replacement for a dedicated server per se. The only situation I'd see the usefulness is when space is scarce or when you want to switch off the gaming rig while still watching a movie.

it seems more like it was designecd to be used as a torrent box to me lol

It does. The KVM is internal to the board.

This is exactly what I had in mind. My "other use" PC was exactly this.
