So, the cord on my dollar store glue gun just exploded.
It literally blew off at the plug.

I looked at the cord, the gauge must be too thin..
Is there such a thing as a Professional-Glue-Gun that isn't some cost-cut piece of crap..

That looks like a good one. I have an ancient Craftsman that probably dates from the early-1980s that is fantastic, I will be crushed if it ever dies on me. I also have a couple of "arts and crafts" ones that are completely wimpy.
It is so good that I can literally push the glue stick (I buy the really long ones) through by hand, without even using the trigger, and it still melts it fast enough to keep up with me.

I wish I was old enough to get all them Pre-Recession electronics..

It's not pro but I have a Rolson JLG-05A which is only 15W but kept up with me handfeeding four sticks of glue while making a numberpad. It hasn't exploded yet but I've only had it about 18 months though, so can't really speak for it's longevity.

When Reagan took office stuff was still good, but by the time he left office it was rapidly turning to crap.
"Trickle-down" refers to the quality of American goods during the decade of the 1980s.

Surebonder HE-750. $20 on Amazon. Night and day over the dozen or so $10 pieces of crap that have given out on me over the years.
