Title: Hello (and help with identifying a build)

A recovering Apple scissor-switch chiclet addict here. Looking to build my first custom dark themed PBT DSA 5x16 or 5x15. Ideally RGB MX Browns and full control of color/animation via API. I want my keyboard lights to notify me of servers being down.

Just sold my das Keyboard 4 Pro to make way for new stuff. Current collection:

• Matias Laptop Pro
• CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i TKL MX Blues + blue o-rings
• CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i TKL MX Browns + blue o-rings
• Corsair K65 RGB MX Reds + ckb OSX Driver + clear WASD o-rings (really wish this was browns)
• Filco Ninja Majestouch-2 TKL NKR MX Browns + blue o-rings
• Rosewill Micro RK-9000 MX Blues
• Massdrop ErgoDox kit MX Browns PBT DSA blanks (waiting for delivery)
• Massdrop DSA Dolch Keycap Set (waiting for delivery)

Currently drooling over this--what parts were used to make this so I can do my best imitation?:

AFAIK that is an MX Mini from GON w/ DSA Dolch, which Signature Plastics has in their store

Welcome to Geekhack!

Using keyboard LEDs to indicate server status - that's an interesting idea!

You'd probably want a second equivalent keyboard in case the first one develops a problem, or at least some other way of monitoring the servers.
