Title: Help me to recognice some old keyboards
Post by: edy00116 on Mon, 18 May 2015, 12:07:52
Hello,

I have the opportunity to get some old keyboards, but I can not know if they are mechanical or not, can you help me to recognice them? The first is an Acer (ALPS?), 3rd is a MAC compatible? and the 4th is a HP.

Thank you and sorry for my english, i'm spanish as keyboards.

1st looks like it's either an Acer 6012 or KB-101A. Both great finds; the first is a decent chance at blue Alps, the second is a guaranteed! Pop a cap off quick to see if you got them! The 3rd one looks like an AppleDesign keyboard. Pretty ****. No idea about the others.

It would be good business to buy for 50 € the 4 keyboards?

First one is the wrong case for a 6012, so it's probably a KB-102A. Second board could be Omron based on the LED cutout, but it's more than likely crap, likely RD or foam and foil.  Third one is crap.  Last one should be crappy RD.

Mac one's a apple design adb (rubber dome) if you don't have access to boards to pop a cap, could you request a shot of the backs of the keyboards?

I've already ordered the reference of the keyboards, but still have not answered...

Are you sure though? Many Acers have several case designs for the same model, and the 6010 series includes one that looks, as far as I can tell, identical to a 101A:

It really all boils down to that first one. If it's a Blue Alps board, that alone is easily worth €50 (even the ****tiest Blue Alps donor boards tend to go for more than that).

Second one looks like it might be a Fujitsu Peerless board.

Well I took mine apart yesterday actually. :P Yeah the LED cutouts and the little cutout in the top right matches the Epson and Fujitsu keyboards I had with Peerless.

Peerless are nice rubberdome boards but not worth all that much. They are basically domes with springs inside of them that click when they actuate.
