Title: What makes you say "Yeah, I'm a geek"

Had to run out to get a longer usb cable for my Pure Pro and pulling out of the parking lot the dj announces the next song.  "Gooey" by the Glass Animals.

What flashed in my mind wasn't gooey but gui. Yeah, I'm a geek.

I spend most of my time indoors, nobody knows anything about me, other than "Oh yeah,, you're the one with the keyboard?"

I like computers stuffz, I code (At least learning)

I work for the USPS and travel between the office and DMUs. At one of the DMUs, there's a machine with a Cherry GH80-11900 attached and I've been coveting it since the first day I saw it.  Hopefully when they phase the machine out I'll be allowed to have the Cherry.

I remember my first ouzo experience in Germany, everyone wouldn't touch it cause they hated it. They warned me not to vomit, heh. Not crazy on liquors as such but it's not bad at all. Souvlaki and an absurd amount of tzatziki!

I learned that Yelp launched in Malaysia this month and so I loaded it up just now and clicking Nearby showed me this restaurant:

Can’t believe there are two café with the name Geek (first was Geek Out and now this Gee & Geek)

The fact that on Saturday night while people are out in the town I just want to get home to my computer and check geekhack....

This could also just be a symptom of getting old. I have no desire to go out on Fridays and Saturdays anymore, whereas in my 20s I had FOMO.

Then you see 50 year olds out when you do actually go and realize you'll get FOMO again at some point in your life.

Other than material goods I've never really had the FOMO, in my teens I was busy gaming although I guess it would have been the FOMO on double exp and such lol
I've never actually had a desire to go out to social areas like bars and such since I just always found it less fun than everyone said it'd be and it just seems like a lot of work and a waste of money.
