Title: Nokia 640

Keep an eye out folks..  This is going to be the Cheapest full featured "burner" smartphone..

It's everything the Nokia 521 is,  BUT, now it also has a front facing camera.. 

Arguably that was the only thing missing from the 521/520/630/635..


Hopefully we see the 640 ~ $50..   the 521 goes for as low as $30 (no contract)

Hahaha.. You are a smart person Clib..  That is indeed the proper way to cut-the-cheese..


However, It takes a large amount of prerequisite knowledge to understand WHY that's the case.

And so,  for the children,  we say Drugs are Bad.

I don't care about smart phones; what I want is someone to take a chance and bring over a Japanese flip phone.

If you really think about it..  Those phones arn't practical..

The moment they become "prevalent" in the USA is the moment they lose their "coolness and allure" for being "retro" and "rare"

And fundamentally, that Hipster factor is PROBABLY what you're after in the first place..


This is Shopping Culture at its deepest level.. Coveting the feeling of being a-special-snow-flake.. divorced from necessity and utility..

Surely you must be able to get cheaper Android "burner" phones over there? And the open OS makes it much more useful, even if you don't "use apps".

The only reason I could see someone buying a Windows Phone for is integration with their company's Outlook account and shared Office documents. For a personal phone, meh. It doesn't even support USB OTG, so you can't use a mechanical keyboard with it.
