Did anyone here follow this one? (Or perhaps win it.) All I can say is wow. Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum. The auction is over.

Sold for USD624.99 :faint:
That's a serious bit of cash (well to me anyway) for an apparently never used 22-year old AEK.
Does anyone here have one? Is it amazing? Is the M0115 the one to get if one is to get an AEK?
From what I can tell about the AEK/AEKII, they discolor pretty badly. A few I've seen on eBay have a sickly pallor that I simply couldn't bear to look at. I can certainly see the appeal of the mint, untouched board.

And you will note that the snipers won it (placed bid 20sec before it closed). But man someone wanted that board bad.

I guess it's true that some people really love the feel of those boards. There must be a way to convert cheap Dell AT101 boards by adding dampers to get the same effect. Could be a good business opportunity there.

The AEK (first model) don't have dampers, only the second version. I have one (I've bought it for 5 euros...) and it's not bad (very tactile and the short keycaps speed up typing) but nothing special, 625 USD is incredible!

Crazy.
