Title: Cutting 1800
Post by: ohdh2003 on Tue, 22 September 2009, 05:31:40
This is my main keyboard. I cut the 1800 housing and PCB board also. And I assemble them. I use the controller from G80-8000. So final product is programmable space-saving keyboard. :)

I changes spring of cherry black switches. Slightly light spring used. (In my memory I used 60 g spring.)

Wow.

Good idea with the controller. Is the matrix the same?

And what did you use to cut the case?

Yes the same matrix. (just pin numbers are different.) A saw for metal used.

Nice.  I just wish we could get the 1800 here in the US.  I am dying to get my hands on the 1800 with brown switches.

Something like this would be a nice addition to Cherry's line of products.
