we're going to need more info than that to properly answer this question.

For example: Did it work the first time you plugged it in (to test the RGB PCB) and then no any time after? What did you plug it into (just the computer? something else?) etc etc.

It worked first time i plugged it in. Did not work any time after. I just plugged it into my computer in a usb 2.0 slot running windows 8

try another keyboard. the driver could have crashed.

Its working fine with my other keyboard(realforce). Maybe the problem was they were plugged in at the same time?
-note still not responding

hmm well uninstall your current driver and plug in the redscarf. the firmware should be plug and play.

if you hold escape as you plug it in does it load as a printer?

does it show up in device manager at all?

The driver is for USB HID devices.

Minh,
Assuming you have the firmware that is normally shipped with the board, RedScarf reports as "RedScarf III" in the "devices and printers" if working properly.  If it is in bootloader mode, it will report as "Generic/Text Only".

If it is doing neither, then there might be a conflict somewhere.  Try to unplug other devices to see if that eliminates a conflict (i.e. you are overloading the power that can be provided on a usb hub (another side note: a fully loaded RedScarf pulls down a lot of current!)).  If you go into device manager, is there anything that says "unknown device"?  If there is, try and right click and uninstall that.  Can you put the keyboard into eeprom programming mode (hold down esc while plugging the usb cable in) or firmware programming mode (hold down both esc and F1 while plugging the usb in)?  Either the caps lock led, or both the caps and num lock led should flash respectively.  If that's happening, the controller and the core software is still good, and you can reload and go from there.

It's unlikely you can fry a keyboard with normal use.

So far it seems that holding escape does nothing(maybe due to me not having a layout programmed before?) same for f1 I cannot see and led change should i go and plug in some leds or would it be the ppcb ones. I am plugging it into a computer usb port that has no other source that would take away energy from it. I dont even think it is showing in device manager.

The RSIII has two sets of LEDs: there's the RGB ones on the back that are pre-soldered, and the backlighting leds which you need to solder in.  If there isn't an led soldered under the capslock and numlock keys, you should consider doing so since the bootloader gives visual feedback through those LEDs.

Something else to try is holding down space and backspace together while plugging the USB cable in.  This clears the EEPROM, in case that's what's causing trouble.

Also: just making sure, but does the USB cable you are using work with another device?  Have you tried a different cable?

The usb cable i am using works with a external hard drive. I installed sip sockets and plugged leds into those, they wont light up when i am pressing the esc and f1, esc, backspace and spacebar. I dont think im doing it wrong but if its not too much work could someone upload a video maybe?

just to make sure:
1) Unplug keyboard
2) Press ESC + F1.  Do not let go.
3) Plug in USB Cable
4) Let go of ESC + F1.

If Capslock and Numlock leds are not blinking, then yes, there's another issue since you can't access the bootloader.  If they are blinking, then awesome-I can tell you exactly what to do next.

Its as dead a door knob. I even tried flipping the leds in-case polarity got weird. No blinking whatsoever :O
-I really appreciate your help though, it gives me hope that i may not have an expensive paperweight.

Bummer. Do you have a multimeter?

I can get access to one

I don't know exactly what this PCB is and how many LED are soldered on.
But many LED on PCB reminds me power problem, are you sure PCB is fed enough power?

Or USB connector comes off PCB?
No reactions from PC at all? if so this comes to mind.

The usb connector seems firmly rooted(soldered) on the pcb- No visible damage to that area
The connector is enough to power a external hard drive. I will retry plugging into the back of the motherboard (should be way more than enough power)
-No leds are soldered on at the moment except the two i stuck in the sip socket and those that are already on the pcb at the caps lock and the num lock
