Title: Painting PVC Ergodox case
Post by: bcredbottle on Tue, 26 May 2015, 18:33:45
Has anyone painted or dyed their PVC Ergodox case? I have the one pictured below. I have heard that painting cases can lead to problems.

I've painted ABS cases plenty with various brands of spraypaint, and that works great. I have no clue how they would react to PVC. I suppose you could just buy a little piece of plumbing PVC at Home Depot or wherever and test it. The last thing you would want is some kind of chemical reaction that makes it get all bubbly, crack, etc.

There was a discussion on painting/dying these on DT. IIRC the consensus was most of the stuff people wanted to use was possibly going to be toxic.
