Hidden benefit of a standing workspace: decreased probability of a sweaty ass.

Standing is hotter, with a little curve here and there.

Sitting just squashes it all out to the sides.

that might be significant..

But if you're naked.

You have something of 70% more heat dissipation area while standing vs sitting

Its even more awesome in a building with broken AC, but having a good desk fan pointed at me all day helps a lot. I do find while the building temperatures rise during the day I'll sit more to stay cool. Conversely in the winter when my computer room is freezing I'll stand to keep much warmer.
