Title: E-mailed Maltron regarding a purchase request, received a curious response
Post by: Ranma13 on Wed, 27 May 2015, 20:59:06
Hello all, I've recently e-mailed Maltron stating that I would like to purchase a Maltron keyboard with Cherry Browns (custom order, can't use their store which only sells the keyboard with Cherry Blacks). I received a reply from Martin stating that he passed my order details to production and that when the keyboard is ready, he will e-mail me with a copy of the invoice and tracking details. This is rather odd, since all I've asked for at this point was a final price including S&H. Have other people who purchased a Maltron keyboard received the same experience? I'm concerned that it sounds like the keyboard is already in production, but I'm unaware of the final price.

That is odd. Maybe it's a sales tactic? You should probably clarify, but you're certainly not obligated to purchase anything based on what's happened so far.

Yea, that's weird.  My email communication with Maltron always was a little weird.  Sometimes they would reply, sometimes they would not.  There are couple email address, sales@maltron or info@maltron, I can't remember which one I would have a consistent reply.

Just get back with them and say that you have not decided if you will purchase the keyboard and there is no need to go into production just yet.
