as the title says. under $100 plus a $40 soarer converter.
-
Buy a beat up XT keyboard off Ebay, clean it up, and make your own Soarer converter. Done.
Your local e-waste recycler also is a good place to scrounge. That's how some guys get the rare IBM Model F's around here.

I'm pretty sure XMIT still has a few Bigfoot ones available for $60 each.
-
I think the Bigfoots need more than a Soarer's/Teensy to run on a modern computer.
-
Ah. Do they require Xwhatsit? Or is that still not enough?
-
I really want to buy an xt, as I saw one for $35 on eBay a few weeks ago. Now, I see them going for $100+.
-
Where are you located for shipping purposes? That might help us point you in the right direction.

southern California in the U.S. and A

I might go to the local e recycling center for a dumpster dive to see if I can find anything. How much do they charge for going through their stuff and taking it away?

It strongly depends. The one I go to they charge me £0.50 per keyboard. Others might charge more.

Some won't let you do it either. I've had some where I paid $1 a board, some where they want more, and some where they don't let anyone get anything and scrap it. The latter is the worst. They're like a gun buyback where they make it impossible for people to stop awesome guns from being sold for $100 only to be destroyed.

I emailed them an they said I could come anytime. I also asked about the price, but no reply yet.
