Anyone owned this keyboard?
http://www.amazon.co.jp/Hacking-Keyboard-Professional2-%E7%99%BD%EF%BC%88%E8%8B%B1%E8%AA%9E%E9%85%8D%E5%88%97%EF%BC%89EneBRICK-KB400WS-EB01AH/dp/B00LUBYM9I/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1416380193&sr=8-6&keywords=hhkb+type-s
I am choosing bwtween this one and the wired type s version
And is the type s version really worth the price difference with professional?

It's just a Type S with a separate adaptor, which you can see in the pictures. You would still need to run a wire between the keyboard and the adaptor, and the adaptor seems to be fairly large in size. IMO, there are better options than this.
How about Type S and Professional?

I read through a bunch of reviews of this adapter thing on Amazon Japan. They were auto-translated, but you could get the jist -- a lot of people were complaining about it, saying it dropped the connection a lot, was badly designed, etc. It's a shame, because if this was *good* it would be a pretty cool mobile office setup in conjunction with an iPad or something.

There is no "wireless" HHKB stock model. All you're seeing there is a normal HHKB (US layout, Japanese layout, Type S, whatever) with this wireless adapter bundled.
As far as Type S versus the regular Pro model, the difference is that the former is designed to muffle the sound of the keyboard. There are a lot of videos on YouTube that will show you the difference in sound.

The wireless function is provided by the eneBrick, which doesn't have great reviews. I'd rather get Hasu's bluetooth controller (which I did) and it works great.

How was installation? Did you have to solder?

You do not need to solder at all. Just pop out the old one and install a battery.

Exactly. You also need to configure it but it relatively easy to do.

+1 for Hasu's bluetooth controller. I use one as well in my Type S and you cannot even tell it is installed as everything is inside the case. Much better than the Bluetooth adapters!
