Ugh do I get this or the Chase Double Cash Card? Being a grown up is no fun. All these silly decisions to make.
-
I always see these kinds of offers on Slickdeals, but I've always assumed that whatever damage it does to my credit score is not worth the $200. What do you guys think?
-
I think credit scores are overrated.
-
I know tons of people who cycle through credit cards to take advantage of these offers. Doesn't seem to hurt their credit scores.

Benefits of the Double Cash Card?

I stay within 2 hard pulls every 2 years. A hard pull lasts for 2 years on your credit history.

I'm planning to get this card right before I build up my DDR4 rig. That $200 is as good as mine a couple times over. :D

I feel like the Chase Freedom with the current $200 promotion, 1% cash back, and 5% rotating quarterly categories would probably be better right now.

I'm working on the Chase Sapphire Preferred 40,000 free miles deal they have going on...if it weren't for that, I'd be all over this...
...and never use the card again after earning the $200 credit. Such is the credit card life.
I'm also not much for cash back cards, but this one would truly be a great find!

I don't really shop on Amazon so that 5% at the end of the year would be moot. But I guess for the rest of the year, it would work.
