Title: Leopold FC660M - should I be worried?
Post by: PythoN on Wed, 03 June 2015, 12:09:08
The keyboard functions perfectly, and it's in good shape, I've only taken it with me to 2 places and made sure to be very gentle with it. Other than that, it's just been sitting on my desk and hasn't been used for anything besides typing (as expected). However, when I lift it, I hear a little part rattle inside it, and if I turn the keyboard on the side I can hear this part falling through the inside of the keyboard. I took off the keycaps to make sure it wasn't a piece of debris under the keys, and it isn't, so it looks like it's something under switches that's been disattached.

Is this a common problem? Is there anything I should be worried about, and if so how can I fix this? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Also, if my problem is unclear, I could always upload a video with sound showing what the problem is.

Looks like it wouldn't be to difficult to take apart and see what the rattling is: http://imgur.com/a/duUmk

Warning: will probs void your warranty if you have one.

Well, that took care of it! There was a small piece of unidentifiable plastic that fell out as soon as I took it apart. Didn't seem very important, so I put everything back together and it works perfectly. Thank you very much!
