Hahahaha..

Computer gear are essentially just rectangular boxes

How different can keyboards get..  They're pretty much all the same too.

All keyboards have the same keys, right? A to Z. Not much different there. It is not like one would leave out Q or even have extra letters. Now that would be innovation!

Anyway... I think the only companies that could have any claim against Thermaltake would be Case Labs and Fractal Design. The other products seem like they were just thrown in there, just because. I mean, LegitReviews and Overclock3D couldn't even agree on which other fans that Thermaltake would have ripped off: Antec's or Corsairs... not that Thermaltake Riing fans would bear an even closer resemblance to fans from Cougar.
Also, Swiftech is the OEM for the waterblock, so no rip-off there.

I'm most irritated by them ripping off CaseLabs, but they shouldn't be copying clacks or bros right ;)

Totally not cool for Thermaltake to showcase "designs" that are not even near original for them at all... but yea I'm patiently waiting for my authentic CaseLabs case #HYPE

CaseLabs cases are pretty awesome, I have the Mercury S5.  I doubt Thermaltake's rip-off version will approach the quality of CaseLabs, but that won't do any good for the people that don't realize they aren't getting the 'real deal'

How original can you possibly get with these rectangles..  Outside of those weird plastic shells they sometimes slap on the front,  It's all the same damn thing..

At the very least they could have changed up the shape of the air grill/vent openings :p

Poe's Law... but anyway:

The Case Labs' TH10 is not just a simple ATX tower case. It is twice the width of a regular case, with modular drives/grille on the left side and grille on the right, doors with handles and removable case top. You could also extend its height with a "pedestal" that has mesh on the left and right side for side-to-side watercooling. Thermaltake copied all of these features in a way that looks exactly the same, down to the design of the door handles.
Case Labs' case is very modular on the inside and reports say that Thermaltake's copy is not.

Fractal Design Define R-series has a more traditional look, but the door bezel, handle and intake grille has a quite distinct look which Thermaltake has copied.

Both of these original cases are some of the most popular among enthusiast builders.

The core x9 is on my need to have it list and the price is close to reasonable.   There is a mail rebate this month for Canada but I still haven't seen any Canadian etailers having an actual sale.

The snow version is appealing but the significantly higher price not so much.

If you ever actually take the time to price out a caselabs case and shipping you feel pretty stupid actually paying retail for the case.

Unless it's free or someone else is paying the bill caselabs doesn't add up.

You get what you pay for.. CaseLabs cases are worth the price
