Title: Huge lot of Focus FK-2001 with Type OA2 Alps clones
Post by: Blaise170 on Thu, 11 June 2015, 02:52:44
I have already sent a message expressing interest to the ebay seller. Apparently these are new in the box FK-2001s with a Portuguese layout. If anyone would be interested in these, I'm thinking that a group buy could be done. Link is in Spanish but is easily translated.

I wonder if those FK-2001s still include the dust cover, because there appears to be no trace of them in the pictures.

The same seller also sells Portuguese FK-9200s for - ironically - less. Those are not mechanical, though (extremely terrible dome with slider).

I contacted the seller. He wants 60 EUR for shipping to Mexico City. No deal.

I also got into contact. For ten of these it would be 192 Euros. So not as bad in bulk.

That, 'to mexico city' line confused me for a second.

Blaise170, is that shipping and item price included? And are these types of clones liked? I haven't seen anything about clones since they were all called 'XM'.

Items not included but they are so cheap that it wouldn't add much to the cost. I've never tried these switches myself and I cannot confirm if they are Type OA2, but that appear to be from the pictures.

What's so confusing about it? Mexico's only city is the country's capital is called Mexico City.

Hey Guys

I actually bought one of those a while back from the same guy.
(Yes I actually bought it without checking the shipping price so I got screwed :( )

Here is the listing that I purchased it from:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271074243953

I mostly purchased it for the keycaps (which are thin and kind of suck so I never actually used it).

Let me know if you have any questions about this keyboard or want some pictures of anything specific.
It's sitting in a box somewhere in my office so I'll have to dig it out.

And no unfortunately it does not come with the dust cover :(

I'm not actually sure they are OA2s. The sliders look a bit off-white, whereas OA2s are pure white. They might be a type of mantis foot clone I found partly in my FK-8000. The mantis clone isn't as pleasant as the OA2 switches (which are quite faithful to the Alps design and actually feel quite OK).

It confused me because the auction was in Spanish, but they were talking about Euros for shipping. I got unconfused when I found the item location line.

@deci, Well I think it would help if you were able to nail down which clones they are by comparing yours to the DT wiki.

The switches seem to be Hua-Jie AK-CN2.

My L key actually says 2F90 on it just like the above picture.

(I think only some of the Winkeyless FK2001's came with OA2 clones)
