They allegedly use Rappoo KX switches. I'm considering taking advantage of buyer protection and order one to see.

Everything about that says membrane domes to me.
-
Keyword spamming. If the keyboard is water-proof, then it is most likely not mechanical.
There are waterproof keyboards with mechanical switches made for special purposes such the military, police cars etc. and they have a silicone membrane between the keys and switches that severely alter the feel to the worse.

I like the feel of this one, except for the horrible spacebar.

Well, and the form factor, but the keys themselves are fine. They should have went with Cherry MX Red rather than Black, though, I think. With the form-fitting silicon, it feels a bit heavy.

It looks like dell keyboards from a few years back only with Mr. Big Ass Enter. If it is indeed mechanical, are Rapoo switches any good? I haven't heard much about them other than having a short throw, being linear, and a relatively short lifetime of 20 million keystrokes.
-
It also says it is "Popular" so that description can't be trusted.
It does look exactly like the old Dell keyboards with that stupid large ass bottom row.
-
I don't trust it either but if it is membrane then you shouldn't feel bad opening a dispute since they specifically claim it's mechanical with Rappoo switches.
-
Well, it's $20 with free shipping, so you're not out a lot either way.
-
Woo—and it has no flush buttons, keys made of ABC, and art of printing laser!
-
Lol no, not mechanical. Domes, but with MX-compatible-looking sliders over them.
These have been around for a while, and have been rebranded by a bunch of companies. There's also a version with multi-color backlighting, as well as at least one with the same internals in a different case. I'm glad this came up, though, because now when anyone posts any of the variants I can call it a "Lospozbn" and people will know what I mean. Maybe.
Actually, I just want as many excuses to type "Lospozbn" as possible. Such a fun-sounding name. Lospozbn! I wonder if it means anything in any language...
-
Lospozbn. Lospozbn. You're right, it is fun.

i got two of these because they were so cheap. here is my review.
pros:
- cheap as hell
- semi waterproof and easy to clean, but not "actually" waterproof
- heavy baseplate, hard to break
- decent usb nylon cable
cons:
- the keys are a bit too loose on the switches. might end up losing one or two if you move it around.
- one of the KBs i got, the keys are starting to seize up when pressing at a slight angle, not a good sign
- the other one is still smooth but i give it a few months to start getting stiff (thats what she said)
- these KBs are god damn loud
- the red one is more of a hypercolor pink
- the backspace key is japanese style and one key-width
- the windows key has a round embossed logo on it which makes it annoying to press. i guess i could replace it since its mx style.
- another poster said this is not mechenical, they are correct, i think the switch cover is mounted onto the top case assembly. sneaky bastards!
conclusion: don't buy this for more than $20.
-
Lol too bad it isn't mechanical. I never did order one though. :-X
-
Sounds like a good miss then.

cons... these KBs are god damn loud
What? This is a con? You've obviously never enjoyed a Model M. :?)

Oh well—the Tin Woodsman in The Wizard of Oz wasn't really mechanical either, and everybody loves him.
