Title: Ebay Dispute Magnet Keyboard
Post by: berserkfan on Sun, 14 June 2015, 11:55:02
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Machinist-Gaming-Cherry-MX-Black-LED-Backlit-USB-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/221790512164?_trksid=p2047675.c100010.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D31236%26meid%3D34e08d6e128744d0b0e9ea9094f9b6ad%26pid%3D100010%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D16%26sd%3D261927553900

Cherry MX blacks? Watch out for that flying pig overhead!

Some sellers just don't understand that when they list irresponsibly using whatever keywords they think are more attractive, they are severely misdescribing their stuff and asking for some big trouble from irate buyers.

Why post this in great finds when it's clearly not mechanical?  If you're going to do a warning post, it's better to actually do a write up on recognizing incorrectly identified boards to try and help people avoid stuff like this.

What a hideously ugly keyboard!

Anybody who buys this monstrosity is surely buying it for the ridiculous lighting and the cheap price.

But yes, who knows what made the seller think that it had Cherry switches?

Ebay perusing, every time a Geekhacker types in "Cherry" within their search engine, this dodgy-arse seller's page will front up and only the newbest out there shall fall for it, by handing over their money.

Not everyone out there can afford a Filco or Leopold so easily these days  8) .

I've reported that seller multiple times for listing practices. They will disappear for a day or two and pop back up again...
