or more to the point higher force key switches (in the realm of the sweet spot identified by IBM long ago)
I also prefer tactile switches to linear switches...so the Cherry MX Blacks didnt make my favs list. I probably prefer the Blues to the Blacks...but the Browns are pushing it.
I do like clicky and quiet varieties though.
What say you? Do you like lighter force switches like 35g Topres or Cherry MX Reds & Browns?
-
I can do browns but I prefer clears too. I just bottom out hard on reds and blues are too noisy.
Looking forward to getting into these new Gateron Browns I have.
-
I prefer somewhere in the realm of 60g-75g.

I had reds and recently bought my v60mini with clears. At first I thought they were wayyyyy to heavy since I just came from using reds but after 2 days, I think I'm in love with them. I don't button out anymore when I type and I love the tactile feeling from the clears. Haven't tried greens yet since I don't want any super loud keyboards.

Clears aren't bad.
I like a heavier switch for typing than I do for gaming.
But Model F is love. Model F is life.
-
Heavy and clicky preferred.
Heavy if I can't get heavy and clicky.
HHKB for light relief :)

Greens are my go to Cherry switch, followed closely by Clears. I was trepidatious at first when I ordered my Green board, as everyone made it out to seem like it required hercuean effort to use. But after testing blues I felt they were underwhelming. I've been meaning to order some of Sprit's extra heavy springs to try with other stems.

62g everything... and no linears, I need my tactility.
-
I thought Model F is around 60-65g actuation force.
I like Model F and 65g unlubed mx clears, or stock black/ghost black MX switches

Amazing that such young ones these days pine for the lesser resistant switches, almost too feminine-like in their usage.
GET Tactile Greys and you'll soon be in heaven, typing like it should be done without any weakness or limpy attempts, when it comes to seriously hitting your Cherry's on a daily/nightly basis :thumb: .
