Title: Secondhand Keyboard Buying Advice
Post by: getf on Wed, 17 June 2015, 12:23:15
Not sure the right forum for this.

Recently I purchased a board secondhand online. (QFR TKL)

As I was negotiating the price, I mentioned I will be using my own keyset so I would like the board without the custom keycaps that were installed in the original listing to lower the purchase price.

Package received and it contained the keyboard, USB cable and the stabilizer bars.

As this keyboard uses Costar Stabilizers is it my fault to assume that it would come with the 10x Stabilizer inserts?
I'm having trouble conveying this information to the seller and am wondering if I am at fault for not implicitly requesting that these be included.

This is what is missing: 10x: [attachimg=1]

Shoot me a PM, I will send you some.  If they don't stay in the caps, just use small squares of sandwich baggie for a shim.

Sounds good.  But yeah, they should have been included as those are stabilizer parts, not keycaps parts.

Why? Obviously the person buying the board will need the inserts unless they for some reason have extra stab inserts just lying around. The bare caps won't need inserts since they'll either go onto a board with cherry stabs or a board with costar stabs that will already have the inserts
