I only looked at a few of these but the ones I did look at are hardly great finds at such high prices.

Mine doesn't have that. (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=70847.msg1712703#msg1712703)  It might be the non-mechanical version of the board.

Yeah, the one in the OP looks more like a Model M (Keytronic).
