So I've narrowed down my choices down to Cherry MX Brown switches. Anyway these are the keyboards I'm looking at right now. They are all full size keyboards with backlight.
Corsair K70 non RGB - $155
Ducky Zero Shine Zone - $154
Tesoro Durandal G1NL - $120
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth CLG - $150
The Razer is a backup plan since I heard numerous horror stories of them. I'm inclined to buy the K70 but the Ducky also seems like a good option. However both are clearance items so they might run out of stock quickly, hence the Razer.
However, both the Corsair and the Ducky use ABS keycaps so I'm not sure if it's worth spending so much more over the Durandal. Keycap replacements are pretty expensive where I live due to shipping.
This is my first mechanical keyboard so I need some advice. Thanks in advance!
PS the prices are in SGD and not USD, so no worries.

Welcome to Geekhack!
There's been a few other posts recently with people listing a Ducky, and some other, keyboards.
In pretty much all cases the Ducky has been recommended.
In your case I would recommend the Ducky :p

Ducky all the way. The standard layout accomodates any keycap set and the build quality is top notch. Three year old "beater" duckies here still working like brand new, highly recommend it for your first.

So you would all recommend the Ducky keyboard over the Corsair even if it's considered Ducky's budget line?
The blue Ducky will probably look good beside my logistech mouse.

Ducky Zero Shine Zone

The only Ducky that had a poor reputation was a very old model with Alps switches.

Buy the Ducky.
You can take your time to find a really nice keycap set to replace the stock ABS ones, but the stock Ducky caps are at least decent. If you want decent caps, definitely don't buy the Corsair. It has poor caps and the layout is non-standard so you can't just buy a set of better ones.

The Ducky imo.

Ducky is definately a very good option. I would recommend it out of the 4

Get the Ducky board :thumb:
Here is a picture of my Ducky Shine 3, Cherry MX Black with the Tai-Hao Miami keycaps set + 550 Paracord Miami sleeved USB cable made by Pexon.

You can't use this set on a k70, the bottom row don't fit.

ducky indeed

One more vote for the Ducky here!

Ducky Shine 2 over here still living, nice thunky feel! Shine Zone is very similar.
-
if you can stomach their branding then k70. on second thought, they all have terrible branding AND logos, though, so K70 is ur best choice.

Based on my limited mech experience, i'd say get the Ducky. The corsair has some problems with the leds dying often, the Razer doesn't have brown switches, it only has some ****ty clones from Kailh.

If you need to be convinced by yet another person saying the Ducky, then it gets my vote too out of the ones you listed

I have a ducky shine zero tkl and a ducky mini yoth. The build quality is very good on both of them. Really the only major difference is that the mini is made from a solid block of aluminium and has a few more lighting modes. Other than that they are both made with what looks to be identical standards of goodness. I tried out a bunch of duckys at the store I bought them from and all of them had the same build quality.

Have you bought the Ducky yet: ;)

Since you ask for MX Brown.
I'd say get WASD CODE MX Brown if you can. (Costar stabilizers)
If not then Ducky. But generally I'm not a fan of the Cherry stabilizers on the Ducky.

im not gonna hate your if you buy a corsair, if that helps

Did the CODE ever come in brown? I've only ever seen green and clear.
