Should be Mitsumi, Cherry MX Blue, Futaba clicky, or Aristotle clicky MX clone.

That doesn't seem like a good bet to make to me. Even if I were trying for any of those it would be the Mitsumi and Futaba because I haven't used either before, and that doesn't mean I'd like them.

I actually saw a Mitsumi board earlier but I forgot to bookmark it.

Aaaaand it's gone. That was quick Oo .

The only way to know is to have known would've been to try them. Personally, I loved the Futaba switches in my friend's Chicony 5181, despite the iffy things I'd read about them here. People have all kinds of opinions... You need to be a little adventurous sometimes. :?)

Yeah, but that was 50% of definitely getting and being stuck with cherry switches again. That added to the other made it not a good bet.

Vintage blues though! :p I just bought another 5181 so we'll see what I get this time.

I don't see why I would like those when I dislike normal blues, because both space invaders and monterey blues do the same thing better. With no downsides.
Something about cherry switches - probably the pure linearity - makes me hit them about 5 times harder than need be, so at that point I'm just typing on the plate. Not helpful.
-
I tend to sell them when I get them anyways. Their "rarity" make them valuable.
-
Do you just resell the board, or?
-
I desolder the switches and sell them as long as I don't pay more than about $25-30 for it. It's not really all that profitable but it gives me a chance to try out other switch types at least.
