hrrrm... honestly.. this type of plot is a bit "kiddie" for me to stay interested as an older person.
But.. it's nice that they return to the original art style with soft shapes instead of hard-edges

It has been a long time since I have watched any Dragonball series/movies but don't the other series start similar to this? That is before the situation turns to well an event requiring tp and everyone gets serious.

I don't mean to chastising the plot. I'm merely saying that I'm a bit old for it "Today", despite holding onto fond memories of such stories witnessed as a child.
