Title: Hello everyone!
Post by: boTy on Mon, 06 July 2015, 13:31:23
Hey, i'm boTy, as you can see :)

I don't really know what to write here, but obviously i am kind of obsessed with mechanical keyboards. I only have a Razer Blackwidow TE for now, but i hope to buy a keyboard with Cherry switches later on if i have some money. I got some keycaps coming in from Massdrop, i can't wait until they arrive!

Also, i am going to build a little second keyboard/keypad out of my switch tester, i have ordered some Gateron red switches which are arriving in about 1-2 months (yes, months) and a little PCB/teensy like thing also coming.

Welcome!

If you get any flak about the Razer, ignore it, my Mac edition BlackWidow Ultimate was the first mech I owned. Now I have several... :D

Very interested to see the keyboard/keypad you're building. And yes, I hope you have a good bit of patience, many group buys usually take months, sometimes years to fulfill.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Most group buys take a couple of months, so nothing unusual there.  In fact some of the larger or more complicated group buys can run for six months or more!

One thing that will serve you well here is a lot of patience :)

That aside, which keycaps did you get?  And which switch tester?

There are some wonderful things (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=67338.0) you can do with some of the switch testers.
