Title: 6u spacebars

I've noticed that as of late "gaming" keyboards (I think Realforce boards are the same) have been switching to a non-standard bottom row, specifically 1.5 | 1 | 1.5 | 6 | 1.5 | 1 | 1 | 1.5, kind of a mix between winkey and winkeyless. I really like the idea of this layout but would never buy into it (or build a custom with it) because of the lack of supporting spacebars, specifically from GMK. I wanted to hear some of the community's thoughts on 6u as a standard and what it would take to make companies like GMK to start making them, I think SP already do but I can't remember.

I like 6u and 4u spacebars because they're more versatile and make 75%'s and 40%'s just work. And you could probably incorporate them easily into different sizes as well.

GMK only use the ABS mold they bought from cherry. The only way to make them do a new cap is to pay a crazy price so they make a new mold that you don't even own in the end.

Anyhow, GMK should have a 6u mold since the raptor has it (http://i.imgur.com/CPppv.jpg)
and it's just a rebranded cherry board.

Also gateron sets offer 6u spacebar.

Good point! The 1800s have a 6u spacebar, unfortunately with an off-center middle stem.

Nice, haven't seen a gmk gb with a 6u spacebar but I'm hoping to see them more, also maybe jtk will make a mold.

I'd love to see more 6u/4u sets, I've grown quite fond of them.
