Title: At what point do you reconsider
Post by: ImpendingxDoom on Sun, 12 July 2015, 21:08:16
So if you make a deal with someone for an exorbitant amount of money...

And they seemingly disappear off the face of the earth...

With no tracking info...

And you are now in the awkward spot of whether or not to charge-back the money sent...

How long do you wait?

How long do you wait for someone you otherwise would implicitly trust?

How long do you wait for someone who has previously had several excuses why they can't?

How long do you wait before buying something to replace said item?

My rule is 2 weeks. If there's no updates after 2 weeks, instant chargeback.

Another question might be, how long before you name them publicly so others don't get burned?

It seems like there are a large number of deals gone bad lately but nobody wants to talk about them.

Seriously though it's sad you have to ask any of these questions.

*Edited. I must have been half asleep when I originally replied.

How about, how long before you name them publicly so orders dying get burned?

Seriously though it's sad you have to ask any of these questions. People are so shady anymore.
