Prolly succeeded..
Cuz... unlike the movie... we meat-bagz are way way easier to kill... arn't at all resourceful.. need a huge amount of REST time... And move slowly.
Ontop of the fact that the machine also wouldn't miss so much with a gun, given their higher mass and the rigidity of their alloy bodies..

radiation is really only dangerous when it's directed (sorta the same deal as lasers) or ingested.
if you find uranium ore in the wild, feel free to go pick it up. just don't rub your eyes or lick your hands afterwards.

i'm not actually even sure if uranium ore is considered dangerous at all. pls lick for science.
