Title: NEC Keyboard APC-H412
Post by: False_Dmitry_II on Wed, 15 July 2015, 17:43:23

This one is still up. It does have two missing caps, but XMIT probably has those.

I just got one from another listing.

Okay, I've got mine. It is weird. Those of you that have one must have been only using the PS/2 connection to use it. Because it is not possible to use it over a USB converter, at least not without typing very slowly so that you don't get ahead of it. With both the blue cube and my belkin (which works on everything else, even some situations which a blue cube doesn't). But this one not only does that but if you press three or four keys at once through either, one of the keys gets stuck on, and it just repeats forever until you press it again.

I've now got it connected to PS/2, and this is the first time that it is actually useable. From using aquakeytest, it's like it's almost NKRO, but not really. Like it has some extra lag in its controller or something and that's why the conversion doesn't work right, because it isn't done doing what it is doing while the USB converter has moved on.

So I have to use it some more before I can actually say how I think of them. It seeming to take longer to signal seems noticeable even over PS/2 and watching when the letters show up compared to other keyboards. It's probably the reason for the semi-NKRO, because that way it can remember what has been pressed for long enough to send it.

I had issues with the Blue Cube as well, and ended up using an IOGear adapter for that board.  See:

Well I don't NEED to use USB, I was just testing it on my laptop before taking it to my desktop. BTW, that model number has no results on the internet.

You're right, I had the model number wrong!  Thank you.  IOGear GUC10KM.
