Xerox 860 information processing system keyboard

Another Goodwill Austin auction. I won't be sad if I miss this one but I *will* bid on it. All proceeds benefit Austin Goodwill. I've seen the work they do first hand, it is a good cause. Some things matter more than money and keyboards. I can go pick it up in person which lets me bid higher. ;)
Yes, that is a trackpad on the right. A trackpad from 1981.

Cool. Here's a fun computer-history page (http://www.digibarn.com/collections/systems/xerox860/) about the system it came with. Dig the portrait-aspect display.

Convert it to USB and use it at work. People will know you are important.

I will, if I win it. :)

Of course the touchpad is very early technology. It's actually a type of command device. You have one of your lackeys put their arm under it, and as they feel you move your finger around on the pad, they move a mouse correspondingly. Xerox had the right idea, though.

Just ended!
Who got it? Wasn't me. You win some, you lose some.
