Title: Why Kung Fu ?
Post by: tp4tissue on Sun, 19 July 2015, 12:09:59
How come they still put fist-fight-scenes  in movies..

Doesn't everyone realize at this point that no one fights like that in real life?

Or gun battles with no reloading?

Or rom-coms in general?

Or any work of fiction ever?

Fiction, is fiction.

Fiction, is fiction.

you'd think someone as all-knowing as the tp4 would know the difference between fiction and real life...

Space exploring fighting racoons make sense...

Kung fu does not..   If I had a laser rifle,  I wouldn't even walk the 3 feet to punch someone..

Pew pew pew

Because everyone secretly wishes they could randomly bash some other guys head in.

Because everyone secretly wishes they could randomly bash some other guys head in.

But you just wouldn't do that..

Realistic fights (where disabling/killing) your opponent is a priority, end in 5-6 moves..

And a single person, could almost never win against a group..

Movies are supposed to fulfill that "what if" thought.

"What if" one guy could take on entire group.

If a movie only lasted 5 minutes of a dude getting his ass kicked by a group... That wouldn't be fun

I really love this fight scene in Old boy. So great, and I'll fight you tp, if you insult it.  ;)

Yes Grasshopper.

I actually watched Ep. 8 while eating supper tonight. So I find this very amusing.
