Going to have some 75% MX MINI style Pcb's made by Leeku (and will feature a custom design).
These support SMD RGB LED on the bottom for $3 more.

For more information.
Controller parts will come presoldered, looking at around $48 per PCB. (before shipping)
Color's will be white font on matte black PCB
Sadly there are not any cases available at hand, but plates might be made at a later date.
Estimate ETA is sometime around mid August (14th)
TL;DR:
$48 per PCB (RGB LED Controller included) - not including shipping, proxy service available.
--
There are also extra Finger PCB's available (65%) as seen on the LZ-SQ
-
Too bad about the cases.

Too bad about the cases.
Yeah, I will look into other options for those who really want a case, we are having plates made too.
-
If needed I can make a plate design, or an acrylic case for it.
-
Is this plate programmable?

I think you mean PCB, but yes, his PCBs are programmable

To be clear, there will only be PCB offered :)

Would the PCB fit RS84 cases?

I honestly don't know as far as the PCB goes, but I could make the plate so it doesn't extend far out.
-
I'm interested!
-
I'd totally be down for 1 or even 2 if we can get plates + cases.
-
What layouts does the PCB support? Split backspace?

Also curious about layouts. Is it similar to Duck Octagon?

Yes it is.

Teehee.

I might be able to secure an order form for the 75% PCB's as well, if there is GREAT interest, I may consider finding an alternate case (Acrylic)

Yes it is.

I should point out the Duck Octagon doesn't support split-backspace and I do not believe Leeku usually provides support for that configuration either. Bottom row configurations are very versatile, however.

It does support split backspace!
-
Leeku's newer board's support new layout's, including split everything
-
Awesome :D
-
If we are unable to get this case, what options for 75% cases are out there?
-
Safe to assume SMD components will be pre-soldered?
I think I'm in for 1.

Leeku usually has the controllers and everything except diodes & resistors soldered on

I'm interested in a 65% pcb for sure! Do you know what color they will be? Will the 65% be the matte black as well?
Thanks!
-
Any images of the 65% pub?
Sounds interesting.

These are already made, it's the same PCB used in the LZ-SQ.
Just a red PCB, currently available at around $45, this might be our next project to make a case for! But we're more focused on a 75% for now, but it might be an option some people want

i'd be in for sure if there's a case and plate made made for it.

LZ-SQ you say? Interested for sure then.
I'd like to give that layout a shot.

Yep, they are already produced. There aren't any plates currently for it, or any cases.. No real ETA when they will be done.
If you are still interested in the Bare PCB (controller parts soldered) I can inquire for you!

Do "controller parts" mean all SMD parts soldered?
I don't have good enough gear for SMD work.
If it's just switches and LEDs then I'd take one now.
Thanks!!

You just need diodes and resistors soldered, then add switches and LEDS.
If you want everything presoldered, there is a $10 charge diodes and resistors included.
(You're looking at $55+shipping for a completely soldered keyboard minus switches and the LED's)
If you want it direct from Korea you can order now (will probably cost more in shipping)
But if you can wait a month or so, we will be having a large shipment come

Here is his GitHub which seems to have some sources as far as programming the boards, and then in this thread is some information:

Nice. My wallet is ready.

Will the group buy starting in a couple days include the plate/case? Or will we have to buy them separately. Shipping will hurt me way too much if they come separately. (australia)

Is the RGB controller a physical controller or software based?
Edit: does the 65% have RGB or only the 75%?

Both do,
Also for an update this buy will be moved to August 14th!

Awesome, a date.
Also, the controller?
and does the 65% PCB support per key RGB? There is a very vague video of an "LZ-SQ" on youtube with RGB backlighting per key. This is a long shot, i'm just curious, and i can't seem to find any info about them elsewhere.
Edit:
-
It's the same PCB norm :)
-
RGB backlighting is usually not per-led and changing the color changes all of them. There usually are LED effects. I have been working on a case for the 65%, and 75% should be easy since I have most of the harder measurements though
-
Neat. I'm totally in, split spacebar is neat. I've been looking for something like that (in the 65% form factor) for a bit now.
-
August 14th pushes the date past Ivan's RS84 GB... what cases would be compatible with this PCB? I was considering a sprit 75%, if they're even available. Would it fit a Race II case?
-
What is the case option for the 75%?
And is there a plate option? And what rgb led is needed?
-

What I have planned for the cases
- Same style for both layouts
- KMAC-Style Case
- Frosted Acrylic CNC case
- Acrylic screws
This is to make use of the RGB LEDs that are on the bottom of the PCB. The RGB LEDs come with the PCB AFAIK so you don't have to worry about them.

The RS items are always available on Taobao (for around the same if not less), We are working on cases, LZ might possibly release a hybrid alu-acrylic case if there is enough demand.
As for Race 2, sadly the USB connector is in a different area

So this started as a PCB group buy, but now you're only doing cases?
I can't even... <-- major confusion

No. I am offering a case w/ the PCBs, maybe a week or so after this starts.

Ohh no, everyone on GH wants to have a case made as well on the side, kindly enough Sethk_ has been in the works of getting one, I talked to LZ over possibly a cheaper-designed case for the 75%.
It's solely a PCB GB, no promises on the case, but I am trying to find a solution!
August 14th, will be the start for the PCB gb, with a render and everything.

OK, thanks for clearing that up for me.

I am going to attempt to model the 65% version in inventor pro, but I have no experience in it, so if someone wants to help if I can't do it that would be appreciated :-[

Sry, if I was unclear. I mean the RGB per key. As in Norman_the_Owl's post. What led type is it, seems like some 3 pin type? And what do you need to do with the switches to support this? Because the PCB support it?
Sounds great with the case options!
I talked to LZ over possibly a cheaper-designed case for the 75%.
Thats sounds great! I love the designs I've seen before.
-
My not be a bad backup/alternative for my Octagon or an entirely new 75% even. With plate options available, putting a split backspace and other alternate configurations on my Octagon would be way cool.
-
The important question is; will it support ISO?

KMAC style and I'm down for one ;).

Can we get a status update since this was planned to go live on August 14?
-
Sorry for the delays! Work was pretty hectic, but I have submitted a post for the GB, just need to sort out shipping costs
