Title: [IC] FingerSK (75% PCB)
Post by: meiosis on Mon, 20 July 2015, 11:16:30
Going to have some 75% MX MINI style Pcb's made by Leeku (and will feature a custom design).

These support SMD RGB LED on the bottom for $3 more.

http://kbdlab.co.kr/index.php?document_srl=2760492&mid=board_Lsno50

For more information.

Controller parts will come presoldered, looking at around $48 per PCB. (before shipping)

Color's will be white font on matte black PCB

Sadly there are not any cases available at hand, but plates might be made at a later date.

Estimate ETA is sometime around mid August (14th)

TL;DR:
$48 per PCB (RGB LED Controller included) - not including shipping, proxy service available.

--

There are also extra Finger PCB's available (65%) as seen on the LZ-SQ

Yeah, I will look into other options for those who really want a case, we are having plates made too.

I honestly don't know as far as the PCB goes, but I could make the plate so it doesn't extend far out.

Also curious about layouts. Is it similar to Duck Octagon?

Yes it is.

I should point out the Duck Octagon doesn't support split-backspace and I do not believe Leeku usually provides support for that configuration either.  Bottom row configurations are very versatile, however.

These are already made, it's the same PCB used in the LZ-SQ.

Just a red PCB, currently available at around $45, this might be our next project to make a case for! But we're more focused on a 75% for now, but it might be an option some people want

Yep, they are already produced. There aren't any plates currently for it, or any cases.. No real ETA when they will be done.

If you are still interested in the Bare PCB (controller parts soldered) I can inquire for you!

I don't have good enough gear for SMD work.

If it's just switches and LEDs then I'd take one now.

You just need diodes and resistors soldered, then add switches and LEDS.

If you want everything presoldered, there is a $10 charge diodes and resistors included.

(You're looking at $55+shipping for a completely soldered keyboard minus switches and the LED's)

If you want it direct from Korea you can order now (will probably cost more in shipping)

But if you can wait a month or so, we will be having a large shipment come

Awesome, a date.

Also, the controller?
and does the 65% PCB support per key RGB? There is a very vague video of an "LZ-SQ" on youtube with RGB backlighting per key. This is a long shot, i'm just curious, and i can't seem to find any info about them elsewhere.

Edit:

RGB backlighting is usually not per-led and changing the color changes all of them. There usually are LED effects. I have been working on a case for the 65%, and 75% should be easy since I have most of the harder measurements though

This is to make use of the RGB LEDs that are on the bottom of the PCB. The RGB LEDs come with the PCB AFAIK so you don't have to worry about them.

The RS items are always available on Taobao (for around the same if not less), We are working on cases, LZ might possibly release a hybrid alu-acrylic case if there is enough demand.

As for Race 2, sadly the USB connector is in a different area

Ohh no, everyone on GH wants to have a case made as well on the side, kindly enough Sethk_ has been in the works of getting one, I talked to LZ over possibly a cheaper-designed case for the 75%.

It's solely a PCB GB, no promises on the case, but I am trying to find a solution!

August 14th, will be the start for the PCB gb, with a render and everything.

  • Frosted Acrylic CNC case
  • Acrylic screws
This is to make use of the RGB LEDs that are on the bottom of the PCB. The RGB LEDs come with the PCB AFAIK so you don't have to worry about them.

Sry, if I was unclear. I mean the RGB per key. As in Norman_the_Owl's post. What led type is it, seems like some 3 pin type? And what do you need to do with the switches to support this? Because the PCB support it?
Sounds great with the case options!
