Title: Building a trackpoint-style pointer with this PSP-style joystick?
Post by: mathiasx on Mon, 20 July 2015, 12:02:26
Has anyone tried to use one of these as a "Trackpoint"? https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9426

Just curious -- the teensy should be really easy to hook up for mouse events; I've wired Sparkfun's XBox-controller-style joystick to it before for mouse events.  This looks like it'd fit into a keyboard case a bit better as well as being lower profile and less room needed around it than the XBox controller style joystick.

It should work just fine, sometimes I've seen a 10k resistor needed, but it depends. Look up "psp analog arduino" and the principal should be the same.
