Title: Does such a plate already exist?
Post by: ishpeck on Tue, 21 July 2015, 08:28:40
I'm wanting to build an ortholinear board with a series of 1.25u keys on the bottom row...

I was about to sit down and force myself to learn how to use CAD software but I realize this doesn't seem all that unique of an idea and it may be that somebody's already built such a plate.  So I figured I'd ask.

Not quite as small as your layout but you might find something interesting here http://www.ortholinearkeyboards.com/

Oh, hey!

I'd looked at their plates and found nothing quite the way I wanted -- BUT!!! -- just now, I noticed that they do custom plates and take Keyboard Layout Editor links... ?

This what I think it is?

You're my hero.

I will build a shrine to you.

Which type of switch should this shrine employ?

This is awesome!

Does the DXF file have dimensions specified in it somewhere?

It should, in millimeters. I forget what swill said about how to specify that to the plate cutter.
