Hi! The title says it all... I really like the layout of the 1800 that also has a US-layout enter key? I assume a mechanical version exists, but perhaps I'm wrong and that's why there are custom pcbs made by the community...

yep, the G80-1800.

sorry, I just edited my post. There are mechanical versions with US enter key? where would i find one?

Here is a page about Cherry article codes. (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Cherry_article_numbers) They designate certain codes for things like layout and switch type. You could always throw up a classifieds on here or DT which is much bigger on vintage stuff. Ebay is also a good place to check (ebay.de is your best bet)

thanks for the links, I definitely have a better idea of what to look for now!

As Hwood34 said; the G80-1800 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=35672.0). ;)
There was a GB for a modern version with the TX1800 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=68443.0;topicseen) aluminum cased Korean Kustom.
Another one which is coming up soon is the LK-1800fe (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=72580.0).
Prepare your wallet as they say. ;)
The Raptor Gaming K1 (http://sakimemo.web.fc2.com/keyboard/raptor-gaming_k1.html) did come in an ANSI (the US-layout) version but most of those are extremely rare because they have been picked up by collectors in the US or Asia.

oh mannn you shouldn't have shown me that lk 1800... that is textbook-definition of wallet murder :D
I don't know if I'm worthy of a custom kb like that yet. I'm interested in a g80 1800 mostly because I want to try swapping switches on a traditional cherry kb without worrying about caps hitting leds etc(switched from BS to CODE w/greens... don't like blues n browns). I want to experiment with switches more (specifically mx clears and tactile greys) before I commit to a setup to bling out; thanks for the info tho!
