Title: Leopold USB Connector - right place?
Post by: northpark on Wed, 22 July 2015, 17:40:51
Hey all - been years I believe since I've logged in here, but I'm trying to make the best of a bad situation.

I've had two Leopolds and my favorite Filco Majestouch die on me over the years.  I'm not sure if I was just unlucky or if maybe I do run these mothers into the ground.

At any rate, I'm wondering if the good folks here have any advice on where I can get a replacement for the piece in the attachment...  I've finally got a decent set of caps on a decent Leopold board, but this connector is officially ruined.  Any help's appreciated!

Good to be back  :)

Could you also post a picture of where this circuit board mounts to?

I am unaware of any place to get this specific usb board, however you can buy breakout boards that accomplish the same thing. If you are in the CONUS, you can try adafruit. It would be smaller board but I suppose you could glue it to another board and pre-drill the holes to fit the mounts.

What's wrong with it? It looks like all you need to do is desolder those wires and bridge with new ones.
