Title: Need Some Advice
Post by: Bentekkers on Sun, 26 July 2015, 01:50:50
Ok, so i just some money to spare for this type of Hobby

My Choice are:

Ducky Legend $140~150

Ducky Shine 4 $160

i just confused on which one i should buy...

at one point i want aluminium body, but the color customization from shine 4 is really interesting...

(i want full keyboard, the one with numlock too)

also should have cherry MX blue switch (or similar to this)

anyone have some alternative? if not which one should i choose? the aluminium or the shiny lightning?

Welcome to Geekhack!

The Legend only has an aluminium case top - the rest of the case is plastic.

Fancy lighting modes are usually difficult to retro-fit to a keyboard, so this will probably come down to what is more important - flashy lighting or metal case top.

Either should be fine, although I'd go for the S4ine 4, as there are other keyboards that you can fit into a full aluminium case (granted most are TKL though).

Clear is tactile like brown (i.e. a little bump as the switch actuates), but stiffer.  If you want something clicky, don't get clears.
