Title: Northgate Omnikey Evolution, good condition, $114 shipped
Post by: ander on Wed, 29 July 2015, 19:26:42
These are pretty rare (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Omnikey-Evolution-Split-Keyboard-by-Northgate-KYBDEVO-/261985145016)... I'd buy it myself if I had the dough right now.

Track pad, bigass Enter, and Windows keys, all in one. What more do you want?

Alps Whites, I imagine
But the Northgate's massive build quality
Is the real draw,
Plus this ergo version's rarity.

(I just had to reformat that as a poem. It seemed poetic.)

Someone bought it this morning. Was it one of you fellow GH'ers?

Dang, I just bought a new in box Evolution for $250, but I totally would have gone for that one and maybe have done some switch transplantation on it. Saw it too late!

The cool thing about split space bars is that you can easily cut one trace and run wires back to the delete key (or whatever other key) to add erase ease functionality even if the original board did not support it.

Well, all I can do is tell you about 'em—I can't make you buy 'em.  :?)
