Title: Dolch keycaps Question
Post by: merlin64 on Wed, 29 July 2015, 21:34:40: Anyone care to explain the differences between the different sets of Dolch keycaps?

i know of 4: Original, GMK, Signature Plastics DSA, and Tai-Hao

I see differences in color, and in whether the legends are centered or not. Which one do people generally prefer?

OG Dolch G80-1813 came on Dolch Pac Network Sniffers aka luggable PCs. More info here (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Cherry_G80-1813#Dolch).

GMK was a run of Dolch colorway caps. GMK molds are the same as Cherry which is why they're popular. They're thick ABS in Cherry profile.

The Dolch SP DSA means that it's the colorway done in the SP DSA profile. I think it's ABS and thinner.

Tai-Hao is doubleshot ABS but not as thick as GMK/Cherry.

I prefer GMK or OG (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=33155.msg1651550#msg1651550). I think most poeple do. Nothing like the original.

I've have a Poker X with OG Dolch (from a PAC64) with a moogle kit for the last 3 years and figured it could use refreshing with a Dolch cyan touch from this kit. Problem is I'm probably SIL until another round happens. :(

Is that R3? I thought that R3 wasn't exactly the same colors as Dolch.
